James Moore joins us on this week's episode of Craft Politics and offers a whole load of hot takes. Some of the highlights:
1. Canadians are seeking a clear mandate. We have a clear historical pattern: after a couple minority governments, we tend to elect a clear majority. And with this being a two-horse race, we should expect a very clear outcome.
2. The change narrative, initially favouring Poilievre, is now complicated by a desire for stability. But we're still very early in this campaign, and Poilievre has been campaigning for 20 years. Will we see a momentum shift as the campaign progresses?
3. If Carney wins, forming a stable government will be challenging due to diverse caucus priorities. He's attracting a broad range of "star" candidates, but that campaign strength could become a liability when governing.
